Our Story & Motivation
In 2019, amidst the landscapes of Enchi in Ghana’s Western North Region, Edwin Dela had a profound realization. Despite the abundance of a vast river, the local communities faced a stark contrast of water scarcity in their daily lives. However, witnessing children walking miles for clean water next dues to polluted water from their main source of water during to mining and illegal activities ongoing in the region, facing rough trails to access basic necessities, and hearing stories of healthcare woes, Edwin was moved to action.
He asked himself, “Why does such disparity exist? How can I make a difference, and how can I inspire others to join this cause?” These questions fueled his determination. Edwin, along with a group of like-minded friends passionate about sustainable development, envisioned a world where all communities thrived regardless of location or economic status. A world where water, mental well-being, skills, and the environment were not luxuries but basic rights. The Serene Future Foundation focuses on these core areas: water sanitation, mental health, skills building, women and children’s health and environmental growth. These are not just interventions; they are the heartbeats driving their mission.
This journey is not meant for a few; it’s an opportunity for everyone to sow the seeds of transformation. Whether as a volunteer or a donor, your contribution can become a ray of hope for millions in Ghana and beyond. Together, let’s sculpt a future where every individual not only lives but thrives.
